With the end of the co-existence period approaching in November 2025, global payments traffic on Swift in ISO 20022 is slowly rising. By the end of February 2025, 35.3% were ISO Native. However, this is still only just over one-third of all Swift members, which has the potential to cause severe disruption to payment settlements for not only those institutions that are not going to be ready but also the whole payments ecosystem, which Statista says will be worth 290.2 trillion by 2030.
