Bottomline Again Recognized for “Best Accounts Payable Services”
Global Finance Magazine Awards Company Top Honors Among World’s Best Treasury and Cash Management Providers for 2010
PORTSMOUTH, NH – March 11, 2010 –
Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY), a leading provider of collaborative payment, invoice and document automation solutions, announced today that the company again topped the Global Finance list of ‘World’s Best Treasury & Cash Management Providers’ in the Accounts Payable Services category.
Bottomline’s 2009 purchase of Bank of America’s PayMode®, a market-leading electronic network for payment and invoice automation, helped differentiate its nomination from those of competitors. Electronic invoicing and payments with PayMode help AP departments streamline approval workflow and settlement, gain visibility into payment status, and issue payments with security and control for reduced risk of error and fraud. Ultimately, PayMode improves AP performance metrics such as time to payment and early discounts captured.
“Organizations are increasingly recognizing the cost savings and environmental benefits of adopting electronic solutions for both invoice management and payments automation, and looking to us for solutions,” said Chip Martin, vice president of enterprise payments at Bottomline Technologies. “We’re pleased to again be recognized as the World’s Best by Global Finance, particularly given the high number of award submissions for this year’s ranking.”
According to Global Finance, the high number of submissions the magazine received this year reflected “the changing global landscape for treasury and cash management services.” Global Finance editors – with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts – selected the best providers of treasury and cash management services. A variety of subjective and objective criteria were used for selecting the winners, including profitability, market share, customer service, competitive pricing, product innovation and competitive differentiation.
